BriteCoat Emulsions

BriteCoat Emulsions

BriteCoat emulsions are vinyl acetate-based emulsions made specifically for use in paper and paperboard coatings. These paper coating emulsions are designed to help you meet or exceed your critical-to-quality requirements while offering an alternative to your current SB and SA chemistries.

Overview

Product overview

BriteCoat emulsions help paper manufacturers meet or exceed critical quality requirements for appearance, printing, converting and recycling.

What is BriteCoat?BriteCoat are vinyl acetate-based emulsions ideal for coated paper and paperboard. This paper emulsion offers an alternative to traditional crude oil-based chemistries such as styrene butadiene (SB) and styrene acrylate (SA). BriteCoat emulsions are FDA, BfR, and GB compliant.

Why BriteCoat?Celanese emulsion polymers have a long history of developing and manufacturing world-class emulsions for use in paper coatings. In 2011, Celanese introduced BriteCoat vinyl acetate-based emulsions. This innovation was the result of years of development in our own synthesis laboratories in Germany, followed by collaboration with a major university to verify the properties associated with the finished sheet.
